What are the class sizes?

Class sizes vary, but most classes are limited to 8-10 students per class. We strive to keep the class size small to make sure teachers can give individual attention to each student.

How are classes divided?

Classes are divided into three levels:

Advanced - Former All-State members or those who have learned both their etudes completely

Intermediate -Students who haven't learned their etudes yet, but are interested in learning the All-State excerpts for auditioning

Beginners -  Students who are interested in auditioning for Region only If you are unsure of which class you should be in, ask your private teacher or orchestra director or contact us on the contact page.

What to expect?

We will have three sessions lasting approximately 90 minutes each.  A break of 30 minutes is planned between the last two sessions for lunch. On the last day, we will hold a mock audition for students in all levels covering the region and all-state music. Students will also have the opportunity to listen to our faculty perform in a concert.

Is lunch included or do I have to bring my own lunch?

Students will bring their own lunch every day.

What if I don't have a ride?

We can help connect you with other students from your area for carpooling.  If you would like to carpool, please fill out the form here.

What if I get sick and miss a day?

Unfortunately, unforeseen events happen. We are unable to reimburse you for any missed days since our instructors are hired several months ahead of time.

What shall I bring to camp?

Please bring your instrument, a folding music stand, rock stop (cello and bass), pencils, notebook, and a copy of the required all-state etudes and orchestral excerpts.
